Peacebuilding Human to Human
- An Interview Series with 12 Women from the Humanitarian Sector
In a world marked by rapid change, geopolitical tensions, and deepening social divides, the concept of peacebuilding human to human represents one of the most powerful forces for long-term transformation. It is rooted in a simple yet profound truth: peace does not begin with institutions; it begins between people.
This project, which amplifies the voices of women working in humanitarian contexts, highlights this phenomenon in its purest form. These women witness daily how genuine human connection such as listening, empathy, trust, and shared dignity can shift mindsets, rebuild broken social fabrics, and create ripples that extend far beyond the immediate moment.
Vision
Peacebuilding Human to Human envisions a future where peace is shaped not only by policies and institutions, but by human connection, lived experience, and the quiet leadership of women working within their communities. Through conversations with women from the humanitarian sector, the project brings forward personal stories of courage, empathy, and impact. Stories that reveal how peacebuilding happens every day, person to person.
By amplifying these voices, the project seeks to humanize peacebuilding, showing it as a relational, deeply personal process rooted in trust, care, and shared humanity. Peacebuilding Human to Human aims to inspire reflection, dialogue, and action, reminding us that sustainable peace begins with listening, learning, and recognizing the power individuals, especially women, hold in shaping a more just and compassionate future.
